New look and feel to the EiffelStudio IDE, new mechanisms for the GUI, and offers internationalization enabling non-English speaking users to use the technology in their own language as well as internationalize the applications they will develop.
Eiffel Software announced today that its founder, Bertrand Meyer, is this year’s recipient of the ACM Software System Award “for designing and developing the Eiffel programming language and environment, embodying the Design by Contract approach to software development and other features that facilitate the construction of reliable and efficient software.”
The new release implements refactoring facilities, powerful metrics, new configuration management and a variety of new features and mechanisms to the environment. Additionally, EiffelStudio comes with both a commercial and an Open Source license.
Cross-platform IDE EiffelStudio is now available under Dual Licensing, enabling users to choose between a license for commercial development and a license for Open Source development.
