EiffelStudio System Requirements

We currently support the following platforms: Windows NT/2000/XP, Redhat up to version 8.0, Mandrake 7.0 or greater, FreeBSD, Solaris and Irix. We can also port to HP-UX v11 Tru64 on demand. For more information, or to request a port to a specific platform, please contact us.

EiffelStudio on Windows

Computer/Processor	PC with 300 MHz or higher Pentium II class processor or equivalent recommended (single or dual processor system)
Operating System	Windows NT/2000/XP .NET support is for Microsoft Windows XP and 2000 only.
Memory	128 Mb of RAM or higher (256Mb recommended)
Hard Disk	150Mb uncompressed hard disk space (500Mb recommended) Hard disk space requirements will vary depending on configuration; custom installation choices may require more or less space. Space required for installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework will also be required.
Drive	CD-ROM drive (not required for Free Edition downloads)
Display	Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor
Peripherals	Keyboard and mouse or compatible pointing device

EiffelStudio on Linux

Computer/Processor	PC with 300 MHz or higher Pentium II class processor or equivalent recommended (single or dual processor system)
Operating System	Redhat 7.0 or 8.0 Mandrake 7.0 or greater glibc 2.1.3 or above and GTK+ 1.2.7 or above is also required on Unix/Linux platforms. (GTK+ 1.2.9 source is included with EiffelStudio)
Memory	128 MB of RAM (256Mb recommended)
