Eiffel Software Releases EiffelEnvision for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003

Plug-in works with all versions of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and the .NET Framework

Santa Barbara, California – (June 2, 2003) – Eiffel Software today released the latest version of its popular EiffelEnvision plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. The new edition of the software comes within weeks of the availability of Microsoft’s latest release of its development environment, Visual Studio .NET 2003.

“We’ve actually had the product in the bag for a while now,” reports Raphaël Simon, Technical Team Leader for the EiffelEnvision product, “and we’ve just been verifying that everything works great with the Visual Studio .NET 2003 release from Microsoft. The integration with Visual Studio .NET 2003 went smoothly, and we’ve added some nice facilities to support both the .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework 1.1.”

EiffelEnvision is an Eiffel-language development tool that plugs into Visual Studio .NET. It supports both the 2002 and 2003 versions of Visual Studio .NET. And since Microsoft makes it possible to run both versions of Visual Studio .NET side-by-side, EiffelEnvision has been redesigned to allow developers to run a single copy simultaneously in both versions.
